Eugenia and Selena were incredible doulas for our birth and post partum. From my first meeting with them I felt at ease and trusted in their experience, knowledge and warm and open personalities. I did not have the birth than I planned but having Eugenia with me to go through the decisions with my partner and I made me comfortable and confident as we approached curve balls and decisions that we didn’t want to have to make - That is the ultimate testament to what an incredible doula she is. Both Eugenia and Selena provided non-judgmental and supportive post-partum care to me, my partner and my baby and I am confident that continued care has been an important part in increasing my happiness and confidence as a new mother and enabled my partner and I to better navigable our new parenthood together. Hiring Eugenia was the single best thing I did for my family in the weeks immediately after giving birth. She made nights go smoothly and helped me get the restful sleep I needed knowing my baby was in her capable hands. She guided us through baby’s first bath and cooked the most delicious nourishing food to support my lactation. I honestly don’t know what we’d have done without Eugenia and Selena’s support and guidance. They helped me when I was freaking out about not going into labor quickly enough and gave me practical advice. Eugenia came to our apartment and helped us understand the right timing for heading time to leave for the hospital so as not to be too early or late. She guided me to correct breathing through my contractions, and once in the hospital offered open, nonjudgmental advice to guide us through a process that uptimately, and believe me when I say I can’t believe I’m saying this, was fun and rewarding. She helped me and my husband make the decisions to arrive at the outcome that was right for us and our new daughter, Harriet. We are so grateful to have found her and Selena and can’t imagine our birth journey without them.
